			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So here's new windows 7 - semi-excited and thankful it was a give away from Microsoft.  While I doubt I would have made the jump from Vista to Windows 7 simply because "it's here", here's something I've noted while getting set up.</p>
<p>The "Desktop Icon Settings", or "Desktop Items" (as known in XP) is still present in the system nearly unchanged.  Thinking back (and it hurts) I'm fairly sure that windows 98 and 95 even had similar setups.</p>
<p>I'm referring to having a new interface for the control panel in a brand new OS, and yet when you click on to change desktop icons - look out a flashback of a really old interface hits you in the face.</p>
<p>Not upset or bitching about it, just thought it interesting enough to share.</p>
